HENRY BIRD
Artist’s Statement
I am a practicing Architect, and throughout my architectural education and professional career, I have always produced artwork. I started selling my artwork in August 1998; have exhibited in a number of galleries and picture framers, and will enthusiastically complete commissions.
Drawing and painting buildings has always been a passion of mine, and my love of the outdoors has meant that Landscapes are also a prominent subject matter in my body of work.
Stylistically, my work has evolved from a study of Impressionism, Expressionism and specifically the colourist works of Robert Delaunay.
The works are all available as giclee fine art archival reproductions of the originals, and where indicated, the original paintings are for sale.
The prints are prepared with archival inks on premium archival-standard paper. This paper conveys great depth and detail to the artwork, and gives it the appearance of an original painting.
